Multisite Installation

Styles was built with multisite in mind. In fact, all the demos on stylesplugin.com are running on a single multisite install.

I think the issue you are running into is the difference between activating and network activating a theme. Unlike plugins, network activating a theme only makes it *possible* to use the theme on various sites in your network. It does not actually *activate* it for all sites.

The message you are saying basically means, “TwentyThirteen is *available* on all your sites, but it isn’t *active* on your current site. Please activate it.”

The only step you need to take is to go into your child site that you want to use Styles on, and activate TwentyThirteen.

Also, please make sure that for TwentyThirteen, you have installed both Styles and Styles: TwentyThirteen. The prompt should have a link for doing that.
