Multisite issues

    Hello, after updating to WP 5.5 on a Multisite, I noticed that some of the subsite’s editors are not loading correctly as the WP Bakery is missing and the text in the editor is white. And the screen options will not open. I activated your plugin on one of the sites and I get the message in the dashboard but it shows no errors on any of the pages. I’ve used it on other sites (not multisites) and it worked well. I also have do not a caching plugin active. I’ve also deactivated the plugins and nothing seems to work. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

    Hiya,

    I’ve tested the plugin on multisite, but am unable to “break it”, so to speak, as it reports issues when it discovers them.

    It is fully possible that there’s a conflict between the active plugins or themes and this plugin, but that’s hard to say from an outside perspective. You will have to look into the JavaScript debugging manually (have a look at https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/) to spot any errors that may be thrown and causing issues.

    @clorith, I too have a multi-site setup that the entire wp-admin interface lost all styles — the content was black & white, with a logo thrown in, all while the unnumbered lists of links and admin areas were generic and overlapping in the admin area. I will look at debugging, but wanted to let you know that scenario similar to the original above in case you had some thoughts and ideas in the meanwhile. More in a bit. Thanks! -S

    I’m afraid I’m unfamiliar with any such issues, as mentioned above though it isn’t unlikely there may be some form of plugin or theme conflict, but on a normal install I’ve not been able to replicate any issue at least.

    Please follow up with performing normal troubleshooting steps, if that should fail, I do ask that you create your own topic, as this is another users topic, and two issues are unlikely to be identical 🙂

    Here’s how I got my multi-site setup back in effect: I downgraded to v.5.4.2 for the time being while theme and other issues are resolved.

    I used the Plugin: WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version
    BUT the key is/was to use it on the main website in the configuration (mine being a sub-directory installation/version of multi-site, it was the “first” site present in the config). So, once I had WP Downgrade in place and had used it on the main site in the multi-site, all my previous features/functions snapped back into full working mode.
