    Hey Gang

I need some advice regarding Multisite and running a Membership site.

I have my main blog site – site.wpengine.com
and a separate site within the Multisite which is a private paid membership site – site2.site.wpengine.com

I am running Woo Commerce and woo commerce membership plugin on the network, giving people the ability to buy both physical products and/or the paid membership product from a store page within site.wpengine.com

Once they purchase the membership product I want them to be given an automatically generated email with login info giving them access to the fully protected site at site2.site.wpengine.com

How do I do this exactly so that the purchase and automation is made on the parent site, but the protected membership site and drip fed membership sequence gets activated on the sub-site?

    Love some help with this.

    Cheers 🙂

Just found my answer through the support at wpengine.com (which is second to none).

All user data (log-in info etc) created on main site is also accessible from a subdomain on a multi-site. Therefore anyone purchasing an membership course on a shopping cart on the main site (in this case woocommerce) is able to use the login info generated (and sent via email) to access the private members only subdomain, which will also have a record of the user stored on the entire network.

No to actually see if it works. 🙂

Yes, USER data is network wide.

But user permissions are not. So keep in mind that unless you’re just restricting permission to purchase to people who are members, you may have other issues.

If you just want registered users to be members of all sites, you can do that, though you need a plugin.

which plugin do I need If I want registered users to be members of all sites?
