• Hi
I’m new with the whole wordpress biz so bear with me, I’ve been trying to install multisite on my domain. I’ve followed the instructions and i have actived the network option in on the dashboard.

I have one big problem though: I can’t find my .htaccess file, i’ve made a new one but it don’t seem to work. The superadmin function won’t work.

    Any suggestions?

  • Uninstall your multisite, it’s really hindering the permalink power of wordpress. If you can create multiply installs of wordpress. Sorry I couldn’t help your direct question though..

That’s a load of horsehockey. Multisite has NOTHING to do with permalinks (or rather, nothing that Single site doesn’t already have). Please don’t give incorrect advice. Your permalinks can be exactly the same on Multisite installs as on single.

Your .htaccess file should be in the same location as your wp-config.php file. It’s a hidden file, however, so you may have to tell your FTP or file manager app to show hiddens.
