Multisite: Wrong Site-Ids

    Hi there. I have a multisite. When creating a new site, I use “MultiSite Clone Duplicator” to clone a template site. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and everything worked fine.

    But at some point, there must have been a change in how Matomo assigns Site-IDS.
    All cloned sites get the Matomo-Site ID from the template. (Screenshot here: https://ibb.co/gFYJK9d)

    If I change the Site-ID in options.php, matomo backend errors, that site id is not registered.

    To code a workaround: Is there a hook or a function, that lets me register a new site ID to Matomo backend? How does this normally happen?

    I can change all sites matomo-ids programatically, but I would have to register them somehow. Thanks for your efforts.
