That might work. Are mp3 files the only format needed or are ogg files needed as well? Also, does the plugin automatically create 30-second sample files of the songs when uploaded?

You can use mp3 and ogg files, however, the sample files created by the professional version of the plugin are not based on duration, you define the percentage of the orginal files’ sizes to create the sample files, but not their duration.
