My FIRST DAY with WORDPRESS

Hi ALL

Today I assigned a job to convert already running static web site of a company. I am a ASP.Net guy. But client like to do this job in PHP and integrating the feature of CMS.

I guess WordPress is the best choice for this job comparatively to Joomla or Drupal.

In this site there is no database, no post, no blog, no poll, no login. Its very simple.
The only requirement is that client want full CMS control under him. Like adding new page, adding new menu, Changing content of existing page or images.
There are few things which will be displayed on every page but some contents will change.

Is this possible in WordPress.
I already installed WordPress under XAMPP and configured properly. I also able to change the basic theme Twenty Ten 1.3 by the WordPress team.

Now I want to modify the home page
In place of predefined images on home page I like to put my images. Is it possible…
