my lists
-
Hello;
I am having issues with “your lists” being it drops the list I setup which works well for a week or so then when I go in and check the setup again it has someone elses list in place of mine so my subscribers are being redirected to someone elses site.I changed my api key three times now to no avail.
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ron

Hey Ron!
Thanks for posting to the forum. I certainly understand the frustration over that unexpected behavior.
However, to make sure we’re on the same page, when you connected the plugin to your MailChimp account, did it require the use of an API Key, or were you simply providing the login credentials for your account? If it’s through the use of an API key, I suspect you may be using a different plugin, as the MailChimp List Subscribe Form uses OAuth to connect to an account, without the need for an API Key.
That said, if you’d like to provide us with the URL of the site where the plugin is located, we’ll be very happy to take a closer look to check if it’s our plugin.
Have a great day!
-mc_elliotThanks for the reply,
I am in fact using Mailchimp List Subscriber the mention of API was in reference to the mailchimp site, I tried to resolve the issue by changing API keys thinking that they may have been compromised. That turned out to be a dead end.
Here is the url of the site that I use it on http://darlenebutts.com/Have a Great Day!
RonHey Ron!
It’s good to hear from you again. To clarify, might we have a description of how it was determined that those are displaying the lists for someone’s else’s account? For example, does it appear to display lists that aren’t currently in your MailChimp account?
Additionally, can you either provide us with a link to your hosted signup form for a list your account (using the EepURL), either by linking to it here or emailing it over to wordpress [at] mailchimp [dot] com?
Finally, to ensure there isn’t some sort of incompatibility with the WordPress install, were you noticing improvements after disabling other plugins?
Looking forward to your reply!

Hi mc_elliot!
thanks for taking the time to assist me.when I log into wp as admin I check the settings and in the window that shows me which list is being used someone elses list is displaying and my list is gone and to answer your question the lists that show are not setup in my mailchimp account.
Is this what you need ? http://darlenebutts.com/#mc_signup
or
and no compatibility issues that I am aware of.
Thanks For All Your Help !
RonHey Rob_B,
Thanks for writing back in. I was able to confirm that the form in use on that page was ours, and we wouldn’t expect for it to pull list data from another account, as the plugin would only be authenticated for the one MailChimp account. In order for us to dig into this further, we’ll need a bit more information. If you can grab a screenshot of wpadmin area in your site where the incorrect list is showing as well as the eepURL for your hosted signup form that can be found in MailChimp and send those along to [email protected], we’ll be happy to take a closer look. Be sure to reply here when those are sent over so that we know to check the inbox.
We look forward to hearing back!
-GunterHi mc_elliot!
thanks for taking the time to assist me.I have sent that info for you.
Thanks For All Your Help !
RonHey Ron,
Thanks for emailing us with that extra information. I was able to confirm that the form is currently connected to the correct list and working as expected. Because of the way that the authorization process works when setting up the WordPress plugin, we would only expect the application to have access to the one connected account. In this case, if you’re seeing the available lists changing on the Settings page for the MailChimp plugin, there are two possible explanations for what’s going on.
One possibility is that someone with access to the MailChimp account is changing the list names. When making changes to the MailChimp lists, we would expect to see the new MailChimp list names in the plugin settings. However, if you’re able to log into the account and confirm that those new lists aren’t there, then this isn’t likely what’s going on.
The other possibility is that someone else with admin access to your WordPress dashboard is changing the account, and with that the lists, that the MailChimp plugin is connected to. Just to be safe, I would recommend changing the username/password used to log into the WordPress admin Dashboard if no one else has been given access to it.
If you’re still seeing the account and lists change for the plugin, then I would recommend uninstalling and then reinstalling the plugin. In addition to removing the plugin from the Plugins page of the WordPress Dashboard, I would also recommend revoking access to the application from within the API keys page in MailChimp. This fresh installation will help to ensure that everything is running smoothly.
If you’re still seeing this behavior happen after completing these steps, please feel free to post again. if so, please provide the steps that you took to set up the Plugin from scratch, as that should help us get a clearer picture of what’s going on.
Thanks again!
-Gunter
