My Plugin Upgrades Overwrite User Files

    Hiya

    Over the last week I’ve wrestled with bugs and issues while learning to update my plugin using TortoiseSVN.

    Most issues are resolved apart from the fact that a specific folder keeps being erased and replaced.

    My plugins is CSV 2 POST and the folder in question is csv_files which is where users uploaded csv files go. It’s annoying people on each upgrade and I’ve tried using DELETE/IGNORE function on the folder. That causes it to be totally deleted from the users installation and not replaced!

    I’ve tried just not changing anything to the folder and committing the entire plugin but still no luck.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Best approach that suddently came to mind was to not even store user files in the plugni directory, put them in the uploads or somewhere else!

    That way they stay there even when the plugin is upgraded and technically deleted.

    Any other solution like code that specific ignores a file or something I’m open to hear about it.
