I see ‘RSS’ and ‘Comments RSS’ syndication *feed* links in your sidebar, both appear to work (that is, link to your feed), and I get no errors when accessing them.
So, how does your feed not work for you?
I got it resolved right after I posted here. I appreciate your help.
Hey fruittree.
Could you please let us know what you did to resolve your feed problem? That would be much more helpful to me and others who are trying to resolve similar issues.
When i see [Resolved] in the topic i hope to find some hope of a solution.
My blog is blog.subinfinity.com
i haven’t been able to get my feed working either.
I’ve read every post on the thread on the topic and still cannot figure it out.
Extra whitespace at the top of the feed would appear to the problem.
Start by looking through recently added plugins. There should be no whitespace/blank lines before the opening <?php or after the last ?>.
Thanks for chiming in HandySolo.
My feed wasn’t working before i had activated any plug-ins. After hearing about doing so i activated the default 3 that come in the installation package (Hello Dolly, BackUp and Askim-something) and then deactivated them. I then deleted them from the plug-ins folder, leaving the plug-ins folder completely empty. Still no luck.
I’ve also gone through every file in the root wordpress directory and searched for whitespace and found none.
Could it be the template that i am using? I hadn’t tried anything out on the blog until after i installed that template. I haven’t tried switching it back and forth because i fear that it will mess it up.
Yep, it could sure be your template (or one of the files in your template like “functions.php” perhaps?).
Try switching to Default and then seeing how your feed does.
OK. I’ll try that. But i’m gonna do it when i get back from vacation next tuesday. I’m on my way out right now. I’ll post again then.
Thanks HandySolo.
Hey HandySolo.
I switched the theme and it worked! But i love my theme, so i switched back and now it seems to work fine on my computer (Firefox 2.0) but not on another one in the house with the same browser.
Is this just the nature of browser/feed compatibility?
Could you do me the favor of trying it and seeing if it works?
arghh! i just tried it in Safari and it doesn’t work there.
If this is for the blog in your profile, the feed works fine.
Keep in mind that some/most web browsers aren’t exactly known for their feed reading prowess.
cool. thanks for checking it Handy Solo. I gave up on the the other template and switched to Freshy.
