My Theme RT Theme 18

I am trying to update my theme to the latest version but every time I do I lose all the formats on the main page. I revert back to my backup files so I am ok, but I cannot figure out how to update my theme.

I did not create the child theme nor di I know about where the customizations are. The child theme exists, but for some reason, I still seem to overwrite customizations whenever I do the upgrade. I have backed out of it twice and I don’t know what else to do.

Is there a way with Child Theme Configurator, I can figure out where my customizations are and then apply them to the rttheme18-child directory. I hope if I do that, I will be able to update the theme. The RT-Theme 18 had not been updated in a while and I am concerned its become a security risk and I would like to get it updated.

Any assistance or ideas of what I can do to get out of this dilemma would be greatly appreciated.
