My website is having technical problems
-
Hello.
I have updated my website, but there is a problem with the woocommerce plugin and not everything has been updated as it should, when entering some items in the dashboard the page crashes. Does anyone know what to do about it? The email said to write to the hosting.

Hi there,
I understand you’re experiencing crashes when accessing certain items in your dashboard after updating your site and the WooCommerce plugin. I’d be happy to help look into this further.
To assist you better, could you please let me know:
- Which specific sections or pages in the dashboard are causing the crash? (For example: Products, Orders, WooCommerce Settings, etc.)
- Do you see any error messages when the page crashes, or is it just a blank/white screen?
Also, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:
- System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status
- Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.
Hello again,
I had a copy of the site made at the beginning of April, I used the wpvivid plugin. I uploaded this page again, it ended with success, but the page is completely down. The page does not work, I can not enter the dashboard either.

One more question. The host can restore the site via backup, but what should I restore:
1. Files
2. Database
3. Files and database?
Hi @lanter56,
Thanks for the update, I can see how frustrating this must be, especially when both the front end and dashboard are inaccessible.
If your host is able to restore the site from a backup, we recommend restoring both files and database to ensure everything is properly synced. Restoring only one may lead to mismatches that can cause further issues.
Before proceeding, it would be a good idea to ask your host to check the debug.log file (usually located in wp-content) for any recent error messages. This might help identify what triggered the crash.
Once the site is restored, we suggest testing updates in a staging environment first, if possible, to avoid downtime on the live site.
Let us know how it goes!
Hello, The host restored the website, but still when I go to the dashboard, for example, statistics, they don’t work. Practically the entire site works, many elements in the dashboard as well. I updated the plugin, but it didn’t help. What should I do in this situation? I still have 2 plugins to update: elementor and woocommerce, but they say to make a backup of the site. Should I make a backup of the site now using the wpvivid plugin, and then try to update these plugins? But what if it’s like last time, when I uploaded the webpage from the beginning of April and the entire page crashed. Is it possible to do some kind of test?
Hi @lanter56,
Thanks for keeping us updated! I understand you’re still experiencing dashboard issues after restoring your site, and you’re right to proceed cautiously with further updates given what happened last time.
Yes, creating a fresh backup now using the WPvivid plugin is a very smart step before updating Elementor and WooCommerce. That way, if anything breaks again, you’ll have a clean, recent version of your now mostly working site to restore quickly.
To reduce risk and test safely, I recommend the following:
- Create a staging site using WPvivid or your hosting provider’s staging feature (if available). This creates a duplicate of your live site where you can freely test updates without affecting your visitors.
- On the staging site:
- Update WooCommerce first, then test your dashboard (especially the Statistics page and any previously broken admin areas).
- Then update Elementor, and test your frontend and editor.
- If everything works smoothly, you can confidently apply the same updates on your live site.
- If you don’t have access to staging, you can still back up your current live site with WPvivid and carefully proceed with plugin updates one at a time, testing your site after each.
Let me know if you need help with setting up a staging environment or identifying what caused the dashboard issues after the last update; we can look into that too if you’re able to share your latest System Status Report and any recent fatal error logs from WooCommerce > Status > Logs using https://pastebin.com or https://quickforget.com.
Thanks for the advice. I made copies and created stanging. I tried to update the two plugins mentioned above and update WordPress on stanging. Additionally, two more plugins needed updating. However, nothing updated.
Hi @lanter56,
Thanks for testing that out on the staging site!
To help us better understand why the updates didn’t go through, could you please check if there are any fatal error logs recorded?
You can find these under WooCommerce → Status → Logs. If there are any relevant entries, feel free to copy and paste them to https://gist.github.com/ and share the link here.
Looking forward to your reply!
This is logs from WP – https://gist.github.com/lanter56/bdd3afbacee437aeae2b8d8ec308612f
I will add one more thing, I tried to remove the SlimStat Analytics plugin in the test version and then install it. Unfortunately, I can’t because an error pops up.
Hi @lanter56,
Thank you so much for sharing the log — I know how frustrating these kinds of issues can be, and I truly appreciate the time you’ve taken to look into it.
From the log, it looks like the TikTok for Business (Pexel) plugin on your site is trying to send a ViewContent event, but it’s missing a required access_token in the plugin settings. Since this is a third-party plugin, the best next step would be to reach out directly to the plugin’s support team by creating a topic here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/tiktok-for-business/.
Regarding the site crash — I can see you’ve been using a staging environment, which is great. However, it looks like a full conflict test hasn’t been done yet. To better understand your setup, could you please share your System Status Report? You can find it by going to WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support. Then, paste it into a GitHub Gist and share the link here.
I noticed that @shahzeenfarooq had previously requested the report but it seems you missed it.
As @lovingbro kindly suggested, please run a conflict test on the staging site by:
- Disabling all plugins except for WooCommerce.
- Switching your theme to Storefront.
- Then, try navigating the site and let us know if the issue still occurs.
After completing the test, kindly share the System Status Report from the staging site as well. This will help us compare and dig deeper into what’s going on.
Hello again, This is raport – https://gist.github.com/lanter56/096af81f1d6d04d7215eb44e5ce39f63
The website works, I have no problems with it but the problem is that for example I cannot update several plugins, e.g. woocommerce and I cannot update wordpress. Additionally, the dashboard does not work in the statistics on the test version, I tried to install the plugin again, but unfortunately the problem does not appear when reinstalling.
Hello again,
In my test verion I disable all plugins and change theme and I tried upload wordpress but I have this problem –
Downloading update from https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/release/wordpress-6.8.1-no-content.zip…
Download failed.: The checksum of the file (c518733d977f78b965aad7aa0f5861ff) does not match the expected checksum value (9a92556b37e8bd92c0d906966582e5fa).
Installation failed.
I will also add that I tried to install the SlimStat Analytics plugin and I such as problem
“Installation failed: Could not copy file. wp-slimstat/admin/assets/images/flags/ni.svg”
Hi @lanter56,
Thanks for the update!
Based on the errors you’re seeing, especially the checksum mismatch and file copy failure, it looks like a server-side issue related to file permissions, disk space, or restrictions on updates.
I recommend reaching out to your hosting provider and asking them to:
- Check your file/folder permissions
- Confirm there’s enough disk space
- Ensure there are no restrictions blocking plugin or WordPress core updates
Once they’ve had a look, feel free to share any findings!
