I do not understand how to set up the columns for the categories. Is there documentation somewhere for this, or can you explain?

If you bought it on ThemeForest you should have access to the theme authors support forums and documents.

I did not buy it… was a free theme. I actually thought that I was writing to the theme author directly here. oops.
