    Are you using wordpress 3.0 to 3.5.1 and WP-Clone 2.5.1?

    (@gongarcia)

    I’m trying the backup in WP 3.5.1 with WP-Clone 2.5.1

    Hmm, don’t know why that would happen. who are you using for hosting? Do you have other sites? If so, have you tried to back those up?

    jimmycul

    (@jimmycul)

    Also, are you running any other back up plugins?

    I using 1and1 I also have installed backupbuddy, I’ve tried deactivating this but isn’t working

    I’m sorry, that’s all I can think of, it sounds over my head. See if you can get help from the author.

    Oh, I do remember some advice settings where you can set things like memory limits. Have you looked at that?

    Sorry, not “advice” settings, I meant to say “advanced” settings

    I just ran into the same problem with another one of my sites. I deactivated and manually deleted the files, both directory in the plugin folder as well as the upload folder where the backups are stored. Then I reinstalled, this time it gave me an option to upgrade to the latest version after the install. I selected that option and the back up finally work. I think you have to keep working it until you get a clean install.

    unfortunately you can get around this issue,try running a database optimizer to reduce its size.

    @jimmycul you rock,thanks 🙂

    That’s too bad about the size, other then that, it would be a perfect tool. Hope the optimiser works!
