MySQL on Pythonanywhere with SSH

    Hey,
    I’m trying to connect to a MySQL database that I host on PythonAnywhere. Do you have any experience with this? As far as I know I need to establish a connection through SSH. Is this currently possible?

    When I enter the details it just gives me a 500 error every time.

    Hey Mikkel,

    I’m afraid this is not something I have experience in.

    If you find out how to make the DB connection over SSH using only PHP code I’d love to hear about it and then we could discuss how it could be integrated in the plugin if that would be of use to you.

    Hi Tom,

    The thing is I don’t have any knowledge at all about PHP, which is why I found this solution very convenient. However, I have solved my problem by connecting to the WordPress DB directly from en external source. Serves the samme purpose more or less. 🙂
