• My server died, but I was lucky enough to have a backup of mysql data. I have everything setup like it was before (I took good notes), but for the life of me I cannot get WordPress to connect to mysql.

I have the config.php file set like it was before. I created the user and restore the datbase, made sure the user had the appropriate rights.

It’s just not wordpress either, my coppermine gallery won’t connect or other mysql apps. I made sure the port and name was the same as before.

Any help much appreciated! Does anybody know of tool that I can use to check logins or debugging so I can see what’s happen when my wordpress users tries to connect to mysql?

    Thanks –
