• I recently migrated my site to a different host. My biggest problem now is that not all of the blocks used to create a page are available. For instance, the media & text box is unavailable, as are most of the spectra blocks, kadence blocks, and even woocommerce blocks. I don’t know why this happened. Since it affects several different pluging, I don’t think it’s in my settings, Any thoughts? Thanks

  • After migration, sometimes not all plugins are activated correctly on the new host. Go to Plugins > Installed Plugins in your WordPress dashboard and make sure all the plugins providing the missing blocks (Spectra, Kadence, WooCommerce, etc.) are active. If any are inactive, activate them.

Caching plugins or server-level caching on the new host can sometimes interfere with the block editor. Try clearing all caches, your browser cache, any caching plugins, and potentially server-level cache (you might need to ask your host about this).

Although less common, corrupted WordPress core files during migration could potentially cause issues with block registration. You could try manually re-uploading WordPress core files (excluding your wp-config.php and wp-content folder) via FTP.

In rare cases, the PHP version or certain PHP configurations on the new host might not be fully compatible with the plugins you’re using. Check your host’s PHP version and compare it with the plugin requirements.

If none of the above work, consider using a dedicated migration plugin like All-in-One WP Migration to try the migration again.

How did you carry out the migration? Did the domain change in the process? Here are instructions for various scenarios: https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/advanced-administration/upgrade/migrating/
