I use gdocs regularly and one of the features I love is the ability to insert a link with this code:

    =HYPERLINK(“URL”,”Learn More”)

Then it appears as clickable words instead of a long URL.

I tried this with a spreadsheet I’m using with this plug-in, but the words are coming up as plain text instead of live linked. I did some poking around but couldn’t find if this has been answered. Also, I’m not using the “linkify=no” code anywhere at the moment.

    Thank you!

Funny. I actually found this about 5 minutes ago and was going to comment to say I found the answer when I got the email from you.

    Thanks.

Besides using the gdoc functionality, which I understand isn’t being transferred in this case, is there a way to turn a URL into linked text? I’m planning on using a gdocs to house one page documents that are connected to the names in my spreadsheet, and I’d rather not use a long gdocs URL for all of these.

Unfortunately not, at the moment. You can always use JavaScript after the fact to change the contents of your table cells and make them into links that way, but there is no way to embed HTML in a Google Spreadsheet that will result in HTML through this plugin.
