Navigation items for specific users

Hi there,

I am in the process of building a log-in platform where the navigation menu gives specific users access to pages only they can see – e.g. to access private information or download their invoices.

However, when adding a Custom Link to my Navigation Menu as described in How To Create Dynamic Menus in WordPress, I can only access the visibility controls for my entire navigation menu, not for any individual menu item such as the Custom Link.

I suspect the clue lies in the instruction to “Create all necessary menu links beside the [dynamic] links,” but I am not sure what this means. When adding a new block next to the navigation menu, it is automatically appended to the navigation.
