Need advise

Hello. I run a wordpress website where I offer educational information and a shop where patrons can purchase items. I use wp-ecommerce for this as well as a shop theme. I would like to be able to add the ability for patrons to join a group, and upload their information and images. Obviously I don’t want them to have access to the site’s admin. Would it be best to have a plugin such as flickr or attach/connect another wordpress site (multi user) via link?
My main concern is security for myself and my patrons.

This might be a bit more than you need? Definitely a way to get the social/groups aspect going…

Thank you, VooDoo. I had tried Buddy Press. It’s a learning curve with that one but I appreciate your response. I’ll take a second look at it : )

Yup, it is a bit of a learning curve…. but it’s pretty feature rich. Like I said, it may be too much. Either way, with a little google searching, there’s a lot of info out there on usage

Hello WP word
I’m new to wordpress and I’m trying to redesign a website. I’m having trouble figuring out how to edit widgets. I added advertising widgets at http://www.theromanticgentleman.com

problem is how do I get code in these areas to show custom
or affiliate ads?

My website just went completely down and i cant log in to my admin.

My website went completely down and i cant log in to my admin.
can someone please tell me why this could of happen and how can i can fix it? I was changing some picture for the front page yesterday and the website start to operate slower and heavier and this morning it just stopped working all together… now it doesn’t appear when when you search for it and the admin does not work either…is there a phone number for word press i could call for more help?

I’m not sure why your site went down but check with the host of your site. It could have something to do with them and not you or your site.
