Need gallery/thumbnail slider plugin recommendation

I’ve been looking, and still haven’t found exactly what I want. I thought it would be simple; but either I’ve been overlooking the obvious, or nobody else really wants what I consider to be ideal.

I need a gallery plugin that allows thumbnails to be clicked, opening up a larger view in a lightbox effect; but one in which the thumbnails can be arranged in a slider. NOT a slideshow; not an autoplay slider; but just a space-efficient, single row of clickable thumbnails.

Does anyone know of one?
