• This is a site for a long-term client that I turned over to a service provider to run for me. I am back running the site now and do not have a clue as to how I might edit the countdown timer he installed on all site pages: [double URL removed] The position on the page editor where the countdown lives shows a YouTube plugin which I’m presuming is what enables the countdown. Am I right or wrong? Can anyone steer me in the right direction? How to tutorial perhaps. All comments welcome, good, bad, or indifferent!

Thanks to those who know more than me,

    Joe

  • You’re likely wrong about the YouTube plugin—it’s probably just being used as a container. The countdown is most likely added via custom JavaScript, a shortcode, or header/footer script (theme or plugin). Check Appearance → Theme File Editor, header/footer scripts, or a countdown plugin. Use browser Inspect → Console/Sources to trace the script name.

The countdown is a custom implementation located in the project’s child theme. If you want to remove it, you will need to work with the child theme. I suspect you will need to customize at least one template. Since no one here is familiar with this custom theme, it is difficult to assist you.
