Need help with everything

I wonder if there’s a more detailed “how-to” guide or “idiots guide” to Aesop? Although we’ve downloaded the Aesop plug-in we’re struggling a bit with lots of the components.For example, I’m not entirely sure what a “collection” does. When the component WP boxes come up I have no idea what I’m supposed to enter. Have tried experimenting but it failed dismally.
Can’t figure out how to use the timeline either. And would love to use a gallery but it just comes up with a box that says choose gallery to insert here with no options to be able to click!
I also remember seeing a gallery page on the Aesop homepage with examples of all the different components in action but do you think I can find it now?!
Basically I’m just a bit all at sea. Some components are fine like the chapter headings, pictures and character but I’m not finding it very intuitive so I thought maybe a detailed handbook or instructions might help me figure out where I’m going wrong.Cheers
