Need help with my plugins

    My host already provided the wordpress blog so I didn’t have to install it, but when I uploaded some themes and plugins via FTP, it didn’t show up in my admin area.
    Can somebody help me out?

    double check that the folder you uploaded doesn’t have another folder inside it. It is a common mistake.

    wrong
    wp-content/theme/yourtheme/yourtheme

    correct
    wp-content/theme/yourtheme

    this applies to plugins as well

    Ok I checked and everything is in the right folder,
    so there’s something else wrong that I can’t figure out
