Need help with RSS Feeds

I have been creating websites for nearly two decades and have been comfortably using WordPress for several years. However, I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to RSS feeds. I don’t know how to create a feed, I don’t know how to manage it, and I have no clue how to provide the information that FeedBurner needs to go beyond the basics.

I need a bit of hand-holding and would be willing to buy an hour of someone’s time who can get me over this hump. It shouldn’t be so hard…but I seem to be making it so.
