Need plugin reviews/advice

Hi everyone,

i just wanted to put this out there to see if anyone has advice on some good plugins I could use.

First, I want to display some sort of interactive map (maybe a google map, I’ll see what people think) where one could link a location to media (images, wav. files, slide shows, movies).

Secondly, I wanted to have a page that displays a list of several people, where one could link each person on the list to specific information. I could do this very basically by just putting in a spreadsheet, but I would love to have something that is more searchable or could generate different lists by topic. So, does anyone know of any sort of data management plugin? I have no idea what this would even be called.

OK, just wanted to put that out there. Any advice, reviews or suggestions would be awesome.
