Need Shibboleth Plugin? Use 'HTTP Authentication'

Considering this is broken with my installation of WP 3.5.2.
I used the plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/http-authentication/ and utilised the REMOTE_USER variable generated.

Basically protect the /wp-admin/ apache location with Shib and use this plugin. Just manually create the users in WordPress and your away laughing.
