Could you please update to latest version and check again?
I think you should not have any problem
I upgraded to WP Statistic 12.3.1.
The old negative count is still there.
Wordpress 4.9.1
Mysql Ver 14.14 Distrib 5.5.58
PHP 5.5.9-1ubuntu4.22
We can not check everything without access to the whole site

Wohooo .. i now got a 500 Error in the frontend of my site when i activate WP_statistic ..
Did you update to latest version ?
Could you please check your error_log files and let me know about the errors?
