Nesting roles

I am using the Roles Manager along with an Events Manager (EM). The will allow me to specify certain roles going with certain booking tickets. Is there a way in the Role Manager to “nest” roles where if I assign a role of teacher, for instance, that user will also be considered a participant without having to assign both roles to the user? Thanks.
