    I’m getting this error. Seems the CSS is not being loaded. a few hours ago, the js was also having this error but i dont know why it disappeared. removed plugins and caching apps to see if it was the problem. Still having this error.

    I’m hosted with Bluehost.

    Console Error:
    GET website/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/css/styles.css?ver=5.4 net::ERR_ABORTED 409

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    several plugins and 3 themes. do you need every plugin name? I have tried to deactivate all and still getting the error.

    It’s weird because it seems to work now only when im logged in and viewing the contact us page. but when im logged out/normal view that people see, the css is not loading and so the validation messages have no styel and extra validation messages appear on top of the form. please check yourself.

    Hello @takayukister seems that others are facing eh same issue too.
    Please issue a fix ASAP as a contact form is essential to our business, otherwise we will switch as need a working one ASAP.

    as mentioned already, i disabled all plugins except YOAST SEO and All in one security. didnt work. tried to reinstall CF7. didnt work. used different theme. didnt work.

    Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7 and WP Mail SMTP, and clearing all cache data.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    I just said that I tried that already. But ok, I disabled all plugin except CF7 and WP Mail SMTP , used wordpress 2021 theme, and cleared cached and viewed on incognito. same issue.

    Also, when im logged in, the 409 error doesnt appear, and the form works fine. But when im logged out the 409 error is appearing.

    Have you contacted Bluehost’s support yet? If not, ask them to check the error logs. I’ve seen a similar error case before and that was related to ModSecurity.

    all sorted, they have whitelisted my IP. weird that this only happened after the update. thanks for your help!
