New categories not visible in product block

This is a recent issue.

I have created new product categories which save fine, but when adding the Products by Category block onto a page the new categories are not visible under its parent category.

I have deleted and recreated the category as well as testing it with other parent categories but no good.

Advice needed as I am out of options!
