we have a new dev based in India. He cannot login, he gets a 503 error saying his access is blocked. What do I need to change to allow him access?

Hi @lapchien, thanks for getting in touch!

On a site running Wordfence Free, I wouldn’t expect outright country blocking (Premium feature) unless their IP is from a source detected as malicious. They should be able to confirm if they received a Wordfence-branded blocking page when trying to log in, or were presented with a specific error message.

If it was a Wordfence block, you would be able to see why Wordfence blocked them in your Live Traffic page. You can filter by “blocked” or by a specific IP if they’ve told you which they’ll be accessing from. Check the reason after expanding the Live Traffic record with the “eye” icon in the corner. You may find a specific firewall rule or Wordfence setting stated here after expanding the entry. The reason is shown in red text. Sometimes you can allow their access or unblock them directly from there.

Let us know if you’re not sure how to alter the problematic setting or allow access from the information you find there.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
