I have a CPT (Guest Posts). I want my user role to be able to edit Guest Posts only (works great), but only if the Guest Post is not already published.

For instance, for ‘Posts’ there is a checkbox for “edit_published_posts”. Same for pages (“edit_published_pages”). But there is no such capability type for my CPT (“edit_published_guest_posts”).

Is there any way to turn off editing capabilities for published posts in my CPT?

Thanks in advance! Loving the plugin so far 🙂

If I understand your question correctly, what you are asking is outside the scope of this plugin. This plugin allows you to manage standard capabilities and plugin/theme induced capabilities. But it will not allow you to create new capabilities because its useless unless WordPress and other plugins check those capabilities. Hope this makes sense. Thanks.
