New COGS feature

    Hi,

    I wanted to ask about new built-in COGS feature inside Woocommerce. Its still in beta but I noticed its not compatible with Multilingual plugin. So we cannot “lock” the COGS feature which means all products, all variations in every language needs to be edited manually. Are there any plans to make Woocommerce Multilingual compatible with this new feature?

    Hello @digitaltrade,

    The COGS feature is not totally supported at the moment by WCML. However, could you please provide me more details of the situation that you are experiencing?
    I created this Sandbox for you, in that way it will be easier for us to take a look.

    The issue is when there are multiple languages the COGs value cannot be “locked”. WPML does not pick it up so each and every language for very same product needs to be manually edited. Very time consuming. I understand that Woocommerce built in COGs is in beta at the moment, probably that’s why its not been implemented yet.

    Thanks for the explanation @digitaltrade. Please, go to WPML > Settings, scroll to the Custom Fields Translation, look for the Hidden system field: _cogs_total_valueand set it as Copy. Now, every time you set or modifyIt the COGS value, it will be synchronised throw langauges.

    @andrescifuentesr Thank you very much! This worked out perfectly fine. Visually the field is still “open” not locked as others but the values are copied to other languages just fine.

    I’m glad that it helped @digitaltrade.
    I’ve already reported this issue and should be supported in a future version of WCML.
