New comment notification not working

Hi,
I setup a notification to be sent when a new comment is posted. However no email was sent from wordpress (I could verify this in my smtp server logs). In fact I want to use them for woocommerce reviews, and as they appear as comments in wordpress I would guess this method should work. Is that correct?

Also, what’s the difference between “New comment” and “Post – Comment Approved”?
