    Hello,

This new updated editor is extremely frustrating. Not only does it randomly jump from section to section when typing, I have found major issues when inserting media. Specifically images. When going to insert images, it would insert them randomly in the post, basically anywhere other than where I actually needed it to be. Also, when I did finally insert an image, copy it (from the incorrect location), paste it in the correct spot, I would then try to edit the size, which, surprise! Brought more issues. It took 4 times of me typing in the size I needed an image to be for it to actually stick. Trying to do this with 10+ images is horrible.

I did try to make sure the “block” was in “classic” mode, but that did nothing. It had the same flaws all throughout.

Is there a way to bring back the old editor?

The Classic Block has a known issue when inserting images in that it always puts the images at the top of the post. That should be fixed soon.

In the meantime, I would suggest not using the Classic Block, and instead try to use the other blocks in the way they were meant to be used. The Classic Block is what shows up for your older posts, for compatibility. For new posts, you can just use the normal blocks, which are much better and easier to arrange how you like them.

If you really want to bring back the old editor, the Classic Editor plugin will do that for you. If you go to the /wp-admin/about.php page (click the W icon in the top left corner of the screen on your site), then scroll to the bottom, you will find information about the classic editor and a link to install it.
