new gallery: failed to make thumbnail folder

    When making a new gallery (in Imagely mode, not Nextgen mode), WP error message:

    Failed to make thumbnail directory in …/<galleryname>/cache

    Checking what has been made, the gallery has a ‘cache’ folder and a ‘thumbs’ folder, both with the expected image files. Why would there also need to be a thumbnails folder in the cache folder?

    Hi @mbsharp ,

    Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention.

    Could you please let me know if you’ve originally created that gallery importing an existing gallery folder?

    It may be the case that the cache folder inside the gallery folder gets treated as an inidvidual gallery folder and NextGEN Gallery would attempt creating a new thumbnails and a cache folder for the cache folder itself of the original gallery.

    Thanks for your follow-up enquiry.

    This was new gallery with all new images uploaded from source (not Media Library or any other gallery)
