Yes, the new feature will work with WordPress 5.4.2.
In order to use it, you just have to create a new page and the layout menu will appear.

@gdpavle hmm doesn’t seem to work for me. I have the latest version of the plugin and WP.

Do you have the Gutenberg plugin installed? It is required for the layout functionality.

@gdpavle no, I don’t have the Gutenberg plugin installed. Since latest version of WP has Gutenberg so I don’t need the plugin. So, I guess need to wait for a while until WP core has the latest Gutenberg plugin merged.
