You can do a few things here–one, you can change the email on the website under Settings->General. We use that admin email there.
Two–you can alter the reply to email without changing your admin email, with this plugin: https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-plugin-change-wp-email-from-details-1883
I just tried a test vendor. I received a published email that came from the correct address, but it sent an email to my personal address stating that it was published.
Does the vendor receive an email and I receive a copy? (but why my personal address still?)
So, what settings do you have and where? Which solution did you try above?
What are the email(s) you received? The admin can receive notifications (and that may be what is confusing you) in addition to the owner receiving emails, depending on what you have setup.
Do you have the “CC this email address” entered under Directory Admin->Manage Options, Email tab?
I had already done the Settings->General. I installed the recommended plugin and put in the email address I want it sent to. I want to receive the emails, they are just being sent to the wrong email address. (The from is correct, but should also be the to:)
I read what you wrote above, as long as the vendor is receiving the publication email from the correct address is what I am truly concerned about. I want the vendor to know it is published. It’s just really weird that its sending it to my personal address when Word Press has my company email. (Settings->General)
I have everything checked and use the CC for the email address I want used.

What email addresses do you have set and where? Please enumerate each setting and call it “business” or “personal”
What are the email(s) you received? (Subject lines and the email they were sent to)
I have my “business” email setup everywhere now.
The emails that I keep receiving on my “personal” email address are:
Subject: [Business Name] Listing [Vendor Name] published
Body: Your listing “Vendor Name] is now available at http://www.[business name] and can be viewed by the public.
This email should be sent to my “Business” email and not my “Personal” email.
I sent a contact submission via http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/contact/
Please call me and we can discuss this in private. I love your product and would not want people to think that it is not a good product.

Just to close it out here–sounds like your web hosting company did something that restored the functionality. Glad that it’s working again.
