Hi there,
I understand how important it is to receive the New Order emails as an admin.
To help us investigate this properly, could you please let us know:
- Was the New Order email working correctly before?
- Did you make any changes (plugin/theme updates, new plugins, SMTP or hosting changes, custom code, etc.) around the time the emails stopped working?
- Are all other emails are working fine
Also, I’d like to understand your site properly. Please share with us the necessary information below for us to investigate the issue further:
- SSystem Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status
- Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
Please use https://pastebin.com/ or https://gist.github.com/ and share a link to that paste in reply here. Once we have more information, we’ll be able to assist you further.
Here is the status : https://pastebin.com/U0zsCCEZ
Hi there!
Thank you for sharing the system status report. Everything appears to be fine in the report. To help us narrow this down further, could you please confirm whether any changes were made to your site (such as plugin or theme updates, new plugins, custom code, or hosting/email configuration changes) around the time this issue started occurring?
Also, let’s check if emails are being generated at all. Install a mail logging plugin like WP Mail Catcher to see if WooCommerce is actually trying to send the admin emails. Create a test order and check the mail log to see if the issue is with email generation or delivery.
Next, let’s check for conflicts: Given the sudden onset across multiple sites, this could be related to a plugin conflict. Try temporarily deactivating non-essential plugins and test with a fresh order.
Also, go to WooCommerce → Status → Logs and look for any fatal errors that might be preventing the email from triggering.
Could you try the mail logging plugin first and let me know what you find? This will help us determine the exact point where the process is failing.
I hope that helps.
Yes, the test email is processing. When I previously contacted WooCommerce support, they informed me that there was a bug in version 6.9 and advised me to add a plugin. You can find more details here: https://core.trac.ww.wp.xz.cn/ticket/64368. Now that version 6.9.1 has been released, I’m not sure if I need to keep that plugin or not. I also tested the “New Order” email from the WooCommerce settings, and I received the test order successfully. However, I can see that there are fatal errors in the logs.
Hi there,
Thank you for the detailed update — that’s really helpful. It’s good to hear that the test emails and the “New Order” email test from WooCommerce are processing successfully.
Since this issue was previously linked to a known bug in WordPress 6.9, and version 6.9.1 has now been released, we recommend reaching out to the WordPress support team directly regarding that Trac ticket. They’ll be best placed to confirm whether the issue has been fully resolved in 6.9.1 or if the additional plugin you were advised to install is still required.
You also mentioned that you’re seeing fatal errors in the logs. Could you please share the relevant error log entries with us? That will help us better understand what’s happening. Additionally, could you let us know which plugin you were advised to install to work around the issue?
In the meantime, as a troubleshooting step, you may want to try installing and configuring an SMTP plugin on your site and then test the emails again to see if that improves reliability.
We’ll be happy to take a closer look once we have a bit more information from you.
It seems we haven’t heard back from you for a while, so I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. Feel free to reach out whenever you’re ready to continue.
If you have time, we’d be grateful for a review: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/plugin/woocommerce/reviews/
