New school website

Hi, I am new to WordPress and I have been getting help from a University student to develop a new website for the Academy where I work.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me feedback on how to develop the website further so that when I release it to the students there is a “wow” factor.

Over the next few days I will be adding better slider images I was hoping for some advice on gaining most impact as at the moment I feel the site is designed well but doesn’t have much special about it.
