    Howdy,
I’m having trouble with a new contact form. Seems to work correctly on the front end, but the admin email isn’t receiving any new emails from the submission form. The email account seems to function correctly on it’s own, the messages aren’t in the spam folder.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @douggeeks

    I hope you’re well today!

Forminator doesn’t send notifications “out of the box” until you configure them. I understand that you have already created such notifications for your form(s) in “Email Notifications” section of each form settings, right?

If yes, then can you confirm that other messages from your site are successfully delivered?

By “other messages” I mean e.g. account activation or “lost password” e-mails or notifications triggered by other plugins.

    Let us know, please.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

I’m not referring to notifications. When somebody completes the contact form, no email is received on my end.

Do I need to update my notifications in order to receive emails from my contact form?

    Hi @douggeeks

    Thank you for the information.

Could you please check the email notification is correctly configured following this guide? https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#email-notifications-forms

If so, kindly try to install any mail log plugin and check if it is going to catch the Submission on logs.

Most of the time it is related to wp_mail not working for some reason or the destination provider blocking the emails, so an SMTP plugin like the WPMU DEV Branda > SMTP https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/branda-white-labeling/ https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/branda/#smtp will help.

Let us know the result you got.
    Best Regards

The setup is correct. Was correct 2 days ago.

A mail logging plugin shows the website is making and sending emails. I’m not receiving them. The address I’m using is new, but is sending and receiving emails just fine.

The benefit of your brand of white label plugin is…email customization? Your plugin is better than SMTP?

I’m getting frustrated here. I’m looking for help, not a sales call.

    Hi @douggeeks

We suggest our plugins because it is free and well tested also has the documentation available.

However any SMTP plugin should work in this case,

“A mail logging plugin shows the website is making and sending emails. I’m not receiving them. The address I’m using is new, but is sending and receiving emails just fine.”

In case the mail log plugin shows the email is being sent the issue is related to outside plugins like the email server or the destination blocking the email.

So the SMTP as suggested is the easiest way to fix it, once again, feel free to install any SMTP plugin, we also have a blog article on how to configure your Gmail as SMTP:
