I switched routers today, which meant I had to change my ip settings for my web server. All my other sites respond immediately but wordpress is suddenly crawling. How could a new static ip behind a router (the site’s web ip address is unchanged) cripple a wordpress install? is the only solution a reinstallation of wordpress?

Turns out the issue was that my web ip had changed and needed to be updated with my registrar. This caused plugins for amazon and adsense to hang and prevented the page from loading even when I tried to access localhost.

    Issue resolved.
