New to WP, Installation Issues

    I have to admit, I’m gonna need most comments broken down since I’m a newbie to all of this. I greatly appreciate any help!

    Here is what I have…

    I have a website I am helping with. It is hosted via cPanel. I have never used cPanel until now.

    I installed WordPress using the mySQL Database Wizard and it seemed to go fine.

    I got a user (admin) and pw emailed from WP to me.

    I changed the wp-config-sample.php and uploaded the new wp-config.php. I didn’t delete the sample one though.

    Everytime I try and go to http://www.mysite.com/blog/wp-admin/ it gives me an Internal Server error message.

    What am I doing wrong and is there any hope to fix this being that I’m not well versed on all this?

    I get Page Not Found – 404 Error Page

    What’s in the root .htaccess file? Any redirection or protection set up on the hosting control panel? Is your domain pointing to the correct server ? Have you discussed this with your hosting provider?
