What version of Order Bender are you using? If you are not using Order Bender 0.7.1 (or newer), you will likely have issues with Breadcrumb NavXT 5.5.0.
Previous versions of Order Bender relied on the way Breadcrumb NavXT picked terms. This has changed in 5.5.0, hence older versions of Order Bender will not function correctly. New versions of Order Bender (0.7.1 or newer) use a hook introduced in Breadcrumb NavXT 5.4.0, and work regardless of how Breadcrumb NavXT picks terms. This was covered in the release post for Breadcrumb NavXT 5.5.0: https://mtekk.us/archives/wordpress/plugins-wordpress/breadcrumb-navxt-5-5-0/

Order Bender 0.7.1 is the version I have installed. And it does still allow for me to pick the main category.

Just installed 0.7.2. I am able to still pick the category, or did you mean something different?

I’m a little confused by this. Did you mean that you are still unable to pick the category? I just tested Order Bender 0.7.2 and Breadcrumb NavXT 5.5.1 and Order Bender was able to specify the category term to use.

I am able to pick the category. It sounded like you were saying that I would no longer be able to with the new version. I may have misunderstood. Appears to be working though.
Thanks.
Sorry, poor choice of words on my part. The Order Bender interface in the post editor hasn’t changed behavior, you can set a preferred category. However, the preferred category setting may not have an effect on the breadcrumb trail if Order Bender is older than 0.7.0 when using Breadcrumb NavXT 5.5.0 and newer. New versions of Order Bender don’t have that issue. It sounds like you’re using a newer Order Bender version and things are working now with Breadcrumb NavXT 5.5.1, correct?
