Glad to help. How to add the shortcode depends on which editor you are using. Do you know if you are using Gutenberg block editor or Classic editor?
Hmmm – not sure. Likely the classic block editor, Take a look at https://www.gosportandfarehamms.org.uk/
Ok so for the block editor, here are the steps to add the shortcode:
- Visit the “Edit” screen for any post or page where you want to display the form
- In the post content, click the plus + sign to add a new block
- From the block menu, choose the Shortcode block
- Paste the USP shortcode into the block
- Then click to save your changes
That’s all there is to it. Let me know if any questions!
Wow, thank you so much! Where can I configure values for the categories? I’ve only got [uncategorised] in my list.
You’re very welcome. To choose which categories are displayed on the form, visit the plugin settings > Categories & Tags > Categories. Then click “Show categories” to choose your categories.
So my blog form now shows up due to my shortcode block having [user-submitted-posts] in it. On the same page I want to show my list of all previously submitted blog posts. So I have added a second shortcode block containing [usp_display_posts], but nothing is displayed???
Have any posts been submitted and published? In order for posts to be displayed, there has to be at least one published submitted post.
This is strange. I’ve submitted two posts, and get the response Success! Thank you for your submission. But neither post is showing.
Ahhh! Hadn’t realised that I had to publish the post. All now sorted. Thank you so much for your help.
You’re welcome, @martinhughhalford. Hey if not too much to ask, would you mind updating your review now that you’ve got things figured out?
