Hello World

I am looking for an easy way to approve new user registration
I have checked out the plugins and there not really what im looking for

Basically Im wanting to only have to approve 2 different user types
and allow the other user types to not need approval

Is this possible

WP does not have this functionality. Nor does it intend to incorporate it

This was one of the highest voted feature request – but as per WP its plugin territory.

The only plugin I have found is:
http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/new-user-approve/

And that does not work. It sends the approval email to the user for approval & not to the admin !

Strange that WP puts so much of effort on Akismet to stop spam, but a seemingly easier way to approve users (and keep the blog clean of any spam) it does not want to do!

Try using wp-members

http://ww.wp.xz.cn/extend/plugins/wp-members/

It has an excellent architecture and does all things by itself without disturbing any of the files /database of WP system
