Apologies, but I think I need some basic hand-holding (or direction to more extensive documentation).

Using WordPress 5.2.1 running Avada Theme. Just installed Memphis Documents Library. No problem uploading documents, but cannot figure out how to display them on a page. (FYI, currently have set all uploads to private — since I don’t know what I’m doing yet.)

When I edit a page, nothing appears at the top of the page (as mentioned in other posts in this forum) that has anything to do with Memphis. I have tried with Default Editor and Fusion Editor.

Tried typing [mDocs] on a page. Tried surrounding it with <code > tags.

Fairly new to WordPress and Avada. Brand new with Memphis. If there is documentation I should read somewhere, please point me toward it. Thank you!

Partially solved. I was typing [mDocs] instead of [mdocs]. I am now able to display documents on page.

Still unresolved: I do not have ” Add mDocs Folder” or “Add mDocs File” at the top of the page editor whether I am using default editor or the Fusion Editor that comes with Avada.

New question – I figured out how to display just the file name on a page. Is there a way to have that happen on pages, but still see all the other elements on the backend? Trying for users to see simple list on pages where I embed the shortcode, but for me–as administrator–to see everything on the Documents Library page.

Solved: Found the Add mDocs Folder and File options. In the Fusion Builder editor, they are a dropdown on the far right of the menu on any text box. It looks like an underlined, lower-case

      m

. Just in case anyone else is looking in the future.

My “New question” in the above post is still unsolved, though.

    Thank you!

unfortunately no, you can’t have different views for files. What you hide or show is the same for admin page as well as frontend.

It is a feature request thou and I am working on a solution.
