New User Notification

    Hi!

    I installed your plugin and set up a new notification for New User – Welcome email, however, the user still gets the Welcome email generated by the site before the plugin was installed. I assumed the plugin would disable that notification and only send the one I created. Is that normal?

    Hi stevenquerry,
    Thanks for your message.

    The Welcome Email is a new type of notification that is exclusive to BNFW. The only email that WordPress sends out to a new user is the ‘New User Trhistration – For User’ notification. If you customise this, that should give you the functionality you’re after. The welcome email then allow you to send them a follow-up notifcationafter this containing information about the site should you wish – essentially a ‘Welcome to the Site!’ Email.
