Did you make a database backup first?
While I have a backup from yesterday, I stupidly did not back up after I posted the drafts before I made the update.
I can probably make a database backup through our hosting service.
We have deactivated all plugins and are now activating each one at a time.
It’s working again–an old JetPack component was causing the issue WordPress.com Stats.
Can I ask what your other plugins are/were?
Let me compile a list… there are about 20 or so.
Thank. I’d like to see what other plugins were running before I start flagging up this plugin as a possible 3.4 issue.
So you were using Stats separately and not as a part of Jetpack?

Can we ask you a favour? Can you try deactivating all plugins except WordPress.com Stats and see if the error returns? At this point, we’re not 100% sure that WordPress.com Stats, by itself, is the culprit. It could be a conflict with another plugin.
Unfortunately, I really don’t want to do that because it took quite a bit of doing to make it work again in the back office of our hosting platform. I hope you understand.
